Ina N. Cholst, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
"CRMI aims to be a leader in the field of donor egg in vitro
fertilization not only in terms of technical advances, but
also with respect to screening donors, ethical issues and emotional
support. It is enormously personally satisfying for all of us to
work in this area. Our capabilities in the use of donor eggs help
couples to experience pregnancy and childbirth when other treatment
options have been exhausted."
Dr. Ina N. Cholst is the coordinator of the Oocyte (Egg) Donation
Program at the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility,
and Associate Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology
at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. She is a specialist
in issues related to menopause and reproductive health.
Her capabilities in reproductive surgery and infertility treatment
have important applications for many of our patients at CRMI.
She has conducted research in a variety of areas related to donor
egg in in vitro fertilization and menopause.
Dr. Cholst earned her undergraduate degree at Swarthmore College
in 1973, and her M.D. at the NYU School of Medicine in New York
City in 1977. She did postgraduate training in Obstetrics and
Gynecology at Yale and in Reproductive Endocrinology at Columbia,

1983. She has authored many articles for medical journals and
lectures regularly to physicians on issues of reproductive health
and menopause.
