Hung-Ching Liu, Ph.D.

Dr. Hung-Ching Liu is the Director of the Reproductive Endocrine
Laboratory at the Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility,
and is one of the world's leading researchers in reproductive
endocrinology. She has conducted pioneering research that has
supported many important advances in the ability to treat infertility
successfully.
The superior laboratory capabilities at CRMI offer important
insights in the development of the most effective approaches
to treatment. Dr. Liu's outstanding capabilities and leadership
in this area represent essential components of the success of
CRMI and important advantage for all couples treated here. She
leads many important research projects at CRMI and helps us
to apply the latest scientific advances to the needs of patients.
Her work in genetic testing of embryos had made CRMI one of
the leading centers in the world able to identify inherited
traits such as cystic fibrosis or sickle cell anemia in the
embryo.
In addition to her contributions to research, Dr. Liu has published
more than 70 peer-reviewed articles in medical publications,
and delivered more than 110 presentations on research topics
at medical meetings around the world. She earned her undergraduate
degree at Taiwan Normal University in the Republic of China,
and her Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Wayne State University in Detroit.
