Psychological Counseling and Support Services: Infertility is a problem that deeply affects every aspect of a couple's life. It not only creates anxiety, guilt, and tension, but also leaves us feeling sad, depressed, out-of-control, and isolated.

In vitro fertilization can be a particularly stressful treatment for blocked fallopian tubes, male factor infertility, endometriosis, or unexplained infertility. For many, IVF is the "last chance" for a biological child, and the emotional stakes are high.

Reproductive life events such as pregnancy loss, stillbirth, high-risk pregnancy pregnancy termination, hysterectomy, or the onset of menopause can create a difficult and unexpected life crisis for many individuals, couples, and families. Sometimes it helps to talk with a mental health professional.

The Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility is committed to the emotional health of our patients as well as to their physical well-being. Problems in reproductive health often lead to emotional hardships for individuals and relationships. Many of these problems create a difficult time for people because they are deeply intertwined with other basic aspects of human life. To help you cope with the psychological and interpersonal difficulties which occur during the course of medical treatment, the Center offers confidential counseling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples.
